Meaningful Membership
The sermon, titled “Meaningful Membership” (Revelation 2:1-7), discusses the importance of being an active and engaged member of a local church. It highlights three key aspects of meaningful membership:
1. Genuine Participation in Worship – Worshiping God through praise, prayer, listening to His Word, partaking in the Lord’s Supper, and giving.
2. Genuine Partnership in the Church’s Work – Following examples like Saul (Paul), assembling with the church, encouraging others, and sharing the gospel.
3. Genuine Participation as Part of the Body – Using individual gifts to strengthen the church, contributing both physically and spiritually.
The conclusion encourages believers to focus on giving rather than receiving, as stated in Acts 20:35, and invites those who haven’t obeyed the gospel to do so.
